Summary

Purple ribbed silk figured with large leaf design in black. Trimmed with piping and black bobbin lace (Maltese) Bodice lined white linen, skirt with fawn muslin. Front fastening to high round neck with black silk buttons. Long sleeves. Skirt pleated to waist except centre front. Separate waistband fastening to left. Hem trimmed with lace, edged with black woollen braid and lined with black silk. Separate evening bodice, possibly earlier, most of back missing.
