Summary

Finely striped purple and black watered silk. Two piece. Bodice lined with white linen. High round neck with narrow band and crochet collar. Front fastening with buttons. Pointed waistline. Two buttons centre back waist. Pleated basque at centre back. Full sleeves, almost full length. Black arabesque braid at basque and sleeves. Separate skirt fastening to left. Metal clips halfway down inside side and back seams. Hem lined with black stiffened muslin, edged with black woollen braid.
