Summary

Mauve and green cotton in narrow stripes, mauve stripes slightly raised (Bedford cord). Two piece. Bodice lined with white figured cotton satin. Pleated centre front. Band appliqued at bust level forming rosette on right trimmed with cream lace above. Front fastening. Stiffened standing collar, covered with lace and trimmed with braid. Upper half of back covered with cream lace. Sleeves very full at top and tightly gathered into shoulder forming large puff, trimmed with lace insertion. Waistband fastening with metal buckle. Separate skirt lined with glazed and starched cotton. Fastening centre back. Hem trimmed with lace.
