Summary
Public: Ovoid jug tapering to foot with a tall cylindrical neck and a loop handle. Greyish white body with scratch blue decoration around bowl of incised stems of simple flowers filled with a blue wash. Applied medallion to side opposite hande with royal cipher 'GR'. Private: Ovoid jug tapering to foot, with tall cylindrical neck, slightly tapered with everted rim. Slight pinched lip, ribbed loop handle with tapering 'rat's tail' lower terminal. Greyish white body with 'scratch-blue' decoration around bowl of incised undulating stems of simple flowers filled in with a fluid blue wash. Applied medallion to side opposite handle, impressed with royal cipher 'GR' surmounted by crown, surrounded with incised petals filled with blue. Lathe-turned bands above foot and at base of neck, picked out in blue.
