Summary

Magenta corded silk. Lined with magenta silk satin. Worked with magenta and black silk embroidery with faceted metal and pink glass beads. Underbodice with magenta silk chiffon at centre, worked with pinktucks that extend beyond upper bodice trimmed with buttons. High standing collar, cream lace stiffened. Vest front partially covered by cream lace, globe buttons at front neck. High round neck. Back fastening. Overskirt trimmed with appliqued embroidery, fastening centre back. Embroidered band of silk faced chiffon round waist. Overskirt opened at front over panel of cream cutwork linen on pale blue satin. Sleeve cuffs trimmed with buttons.
