cap & coif

Summary

White linen embroidered with white linen and silver thread. Single section seamed over top of head and gathered with small insertion at top of head. Shaped in point over forehead, cut away over temples and curving forward over cheek. Hem at neck edge undone. Embroidered all over with formal arabesque and flower design worked in chain stitch and openwork fillings.
