Summary

Lozenge shaped teapot, with angled tapering base on moulded spreading foot, angled shoulder and short straight neck. S-shaped spout of hexagonal section, moulded with Greek key and wavy borders, plain loop handle with outward spur at lower terminal. Sides slip-cast in relief with large central pecten shell within recessed panel, surrounded by alternating wavy and Greek key borders, repeated across shoulder and base. Lozenge shaped replacement cover with Greek key and wavy borders, and button finial. Body coated with fine white slip, slightly discoloured beneath crazed glaze.
