Summary
Public: Shaped oval basket, white salt-glazed stoneware, with relief-moulded and pierced foliate panels and two twisted rope handles. Private: Shaped oval basket with solid flat well, and flared undulating sides. Sides decorated with eight relief-moulded rectangular panels of scrollwork, the background of each panel cut away to give pierced pattern, alternating with eight solid recessed panels, decorated with formal acanthus motif and beaded borders. Two twisted rope loop handles applied to shaped undulating rim, one at each end.
