101 buttons. 1) 1 small domical metal button with radiating ornament, possible 17th century. 2 flat metal buttons with circular ornament, 18th century. 1 flat metal button with basket pattern, 18th century. 2) First half of the 19th century. 2 metal buttons, one flat, with initials "IB", the other convex with initials "GWH", and with crown and "Best Quality" on the wrong side. 3) 51 metal buttons, all with various initials and monograms, and stamped on the wrong side with the name "Firmin", and with office addresses indicating date. 1838-79 2 buttons stamped "13 Conduit St. London". 1879-94 1 button stamepd "47 Warwick St. / 153 Strand London". 1879-1904 10 buttons stamped "London / 47 Warwick St., Regent St.". 1895-1914 27 buttons stamped "St. Martin's Lane, London" including 4 with patent no. 8905. 7 buttons stamped "153 Strand London". 1 button stamped "Strand London". 3 buttons stamped "London" 4) 19th century. 11 buttons with initials, stamped with the names of various firms. 5) mainly 19th century. 33 buttons of various designs (not initials) :- 7 stamped with various French marks. 2 stamped "Treble Gilt". 1 stamped "Superior Quality". 1 stamped "G & H Bullivant / Birmingham". 1 stamped "Rd. No. 451091". 1 stamped "Superfine / Rich Orange" and 20 without stamp.
