Summary

Straight-sided four-lobed teapot, with angled shoulder and straight short four-lobed neck. Plain tapering spout, plain handle with with slight knop at lower terminal and two notches cut in thumb rest. Centre lobes of each side decorated with relief pattern of three overlapping pecten shells increasing in size against Greek key ground, flanked by large sprays of oak leaves and acorns on spout and handle lobes. Narrow Greek key and simple plant borders around shoulder. Shallow domed lobed cover with button finial and indistinct relief border of simple plant motifs and shells. Two part slip-cast body, greenish tinge to salt-glaze on handle.
