Summary

1) Cape: Cream and cream-yellow figured silk, lined cream silk, trimmed cream lace. Semicircular, seamed down centre back, tabbed at bottom edge; shaped band forming turn-down collar; neck fastening with wide ribbon ties; cape and collar edged lace. 2) Dress: cream and cream-yellow figured silk, lined white twilled cotton, trimmed cream lace. Fronts to low waist each in section, fastening with pearl buttons and buttonholes to round neck with shaped band, fastening with hooks and loops. Back in four shaped sections. Long sleeves in two section. Skirt in four widths pleated to low waist. Straight piece swathed round dress above low waist, sewn into made-up bow at CB. Wrists and waist trimming edged with cream lace.
