Summary

Globular teapot on circular footring, with crabstock handle and spout. Body painted in lilac-blue, pink, green, yellow and black overglaze enamels on each side with large pink rose and rosebud on leafy stem, against even lilac-blue enamel ground added later. Spout and handle painted lilac-blue, the enamel having crawled in places revealing white body beneath. Flattened circular cover with small acorn finial, painted with large single rosebud on leafy stem against lilac-blue ground. Small pierced hole to side of finial.
