Summary

Navy blue cotton gaberdine. Lined to waist with red quilted rayon with diagonal black stripe, below waist, chequered pattern. Turn down collar with buttonhole in each reverse. Double breasted with six black buttons (one missing). Small button under right reverse so that coat may be buttoned up to collar. Fronts each in one section with vertical slit pockets. Lined with navy blue twilled chequered cotton at each side. Back in two sections with seam vent to hem at centre back, overlap fastening with concealed button and buttonhole. Loops at waist for gaberdine belt with leather covered buckle. Long straight raglan sleeves. Self lined, label at back of neck: "BRADLEYS RAIN REPELLA REGD. COAT': Name of owner 'W. Dyson' written in a rectangle of white cotton stuck on. Worn as a regulation school raincoat.
