Summary

Public: Globular teapot with crabstock handle and spout, red lead-glazed earthenware, with applied relief decoration of fruiting vines coloured brown and green. Private: Globular teapot tapering to flat foot, with crabstock handle and spout and turned collar at neck. Dark brown body stained with manganese, decorated with applied reliefs of twisting grape vines coiled around upper handle and spreading across sides of body. Vines embellished with stamped relief leaves in green-stained clay and bunches of grapes in purple-brown. Flat circular cover crabstock loop handle, and sprigged and stamped reliefs of a vine leaf and bunch of grapes. Small hole pierced beneath handle.
