Summary

Public: Cylindrical teapot, red lead-glazed stoneware, with applied stamped relief decoration of heraldic devices including lion, unicorn, rosette and scrolls. Private: Broad cylindrical teapot with short sloping shoulder, strap loop handle moulded with acanthus detail at thumbrest, and straight tapering spout with horizontal rib around middle. Applied stamped reliefs scattered randomly across body comprising, on each side, heraldic lion and unicorn, two rosettes and two scrolling panels. Deep red stoneware body with even lead glaze. Broad shallow domed cover with central pierced acorn finial and three stamped reliefs comprising two rosettes and one scroll panel.
