Summary
Globular teapot of hexagonal section, with hexagonal spreading footring and short straight hexagonal neck. Tapering plain seven-sided spout, plain handle tapering toward lower terminal with outward turned spur. Body slip-cast with six oval panels of different animals and landscapes, comprising from right of handle; three-tiered pagoda on hillside with bird overhead; figure standing beneath a parasol with bird to left; building on steep hillside; figure carrying long staff, standing beside tree; willow tree on hillside overlooking pagoda; ostrich standing beside small tree. Each oval panel flanked by leafy fronds and surmounted by inverted triangle. Domed hexagonal cover with flattened rim, central finial in the form of crouching rabbit surrounded by moulded leaves, small pierced hole to one side.
