Metal ribs ending in knob; metal stretchers; frame in eight sections; bamboo ferrule continuous with handle, with metal tip and base; loop attached to button at edge of cover to hold in position when closed; bamboo handle with wire catch to hold runner in position when closed; lower part of handle covered bamboo, widening end carved with a pattern of squares; handle trimmed black and white cord ending in black silk ball trimming.
