Summary

Public: Globular teapot with crabstock handle and spout, cream coloured earthenware, with applied relief decoration of figures and floral sprays, picked out in green, brown, blue and yellow oxides bleeding into lead glaze. Private: Globular teapot on straight footring, with turned ribbed collar to neck and crabstock handle and spout. Cream coloured earthenware body with applied stamped relief decoration on each side comprising, to left of handle: animals grazing beneath central tree, flanked by huntsman with gun and hound to left, figure with a bird to right, floral sprays below; to right of handle: central female figure with a bird, flanked by small grazing animals and floral sprays to left and right, floral sprays below. Relief decoration, handle and spout picked out in green, manganese brown and blue underglaze oxides, bleeding into lead-glaze. Flat circular cover with turned ribbed rim and crabstock handle, decorated with two stamped reliefs of female figure and floral spray, picked out in green, brown, yellow and blue. Small pierced hole in centre.
