tea bowl

tea bowl

Summary

Two deep circular tea bowls, each with straight footring and everted rim. Cream coloured earthenware body sponged with manganese brown underglaze oxide, bleeding into glaze to give mottled streaky pattern, pooling around rim indicating that both pieces were fired upside down. Small stilt marks around rim of each bowl.
