Summary

Public: Pair of candlesticks in the form of a two-handled classical vase with acanthus-moulded stem and nozzle. Plain cream coloured earthenware. Private: Candlestick in the form of ovoid classical vase with tall scrolling handles surmounting satyr masks on either side, above waisted acanthus-moulded stem on broad, stepped, shaped oval foot with relief-moulded beaded and fluted borders. Vase adorned with moulded husk festoons and chains, and surmounted by fluted stem and wide leaf-shaped greasepan. Tall cylindrical nozzle curving inward at base with acanthus-moulded detail and fluted ridge beneath rim. Pale cream coloured body with pale yellowish glaze.
