corset & maternity binder
Summary
Stout white cotton twill. Firm, strong band of white cotton twill material, borders woven with a double selvedge band. Narrower borders have 3 stripes woven in with finer weft threads. Narrow ends are fringed. Binder used in late stages of pregnancy instead of a corset. Purchased by donor's mother for the birth of donor's elder brother in Sept 1912.
