Summary

Public: Miniature Toby jug. White earthenware, picked out in cobalt blue, yellow, orange, brown and turquoise beneath a pearlware glaze. Private: Miniature Toby jug, with applied moulded loop handle with slight spur at thumbrest. Stout figure of Toby clasping bottle and glass to his chest, painted in high temperature underglaze colours to give blue coat with orange cuffs and collar, yellow breeches, brown shoes, wig and tricorn hat and turquoise base, handle picked out in orange dots. Fine blue pearlware glaze.
