Summary

Possibly boy's dress. White ribbed cotton. See matching JACKET 1947.2032 and KNICKERS 1947.2006. High round neck bound with braid, scalloped embroidered frill (broderie anglaise). Back and front each in one flared section, front fastening with hook and eye at neck, and linen buttons concealed under braid-edged strip with six large pearl buttons (one missing). Long sleeves in two setions, wrist trimmed with braid and frill like at neck. Similar trimming at hem. Separate braid-edged belt fastening with two hooks and eyes.
