Summary
Baby's dress. Fine white linen. Bodice front in one bias section. Low straight neckline without shoulder sections, decorated with row of french knots worked in white silk with fine-tucks above and below and fine white silk backstitching below lowest tuck. Back in one straight section each side of centre opening, fastening with fine cord drawstring, similar drawstring at waist. Backstitch worked in at base of binding at neck and waist. Short sleeves in one section gathered on to shoulder, edged with decoration and binding like neck edge and with narrow frill of embroidered net. Skirt in one width closely gathered on to bodice and with tuck at hem above six fine tucks.
