Summary

Sleeved waistcoat. Fronts and collar made from early nineteenth century man's waistcoat, cream satin embroidered in coloured silks. Skirt and front edges lined with cream satin, collar lined with cream twilled silk. Rest lined in cream cotton satin. Fastening at waist to round neck with standing collar and embroidered buttons and hooks and loops. Pocket flaps at eiather side. Short flared skirt, open at side seams, front corners cutt off. Two vertical boned darks for bust at waist each side. Back, extending only to waist in one section with narrow side sections. Long sleeves gathered to shoulder. Embroidered black silk on edges and small sprays and sprigs.
