Summary

Boy's evening suit. Black twill wool (gaberdine) lined with black cotton satin. 1) Jacket: turn down collar, seamed at back, low curved revers. Faced with black corded silk, horizontal pockets at each side lined with black twilled cotton. Back in one section, lined sleeves in two. Loop at back of neck and black label woven in yellow :'MACBETH & SON, BOYS & GIRLS TAILORS & OUTFITTERS, KING STREET, MANCHESTER & BOLD STREET, LIVERPOOL'. 2) Trousers: lined ith fawn cotton, in four sections, seamed at CF, CB and sides, waist lined with grey stripe. Fly front with metal buttons, marked 'MACBETH'. Four buttons along front waistline, back cut high with points each side of CB and buttons. Pockets each side. Knee length with satin covered buttons at outside knee at each side. 3) Waistcoat: lined, low 'U' shaped neckline with curved revers. Fastening CF with three flat satin covered buttons. Slit pocket each side of waist, lined. Back, black satin in two sections, seamed at CB. Black satin belt from sides with buckle fastening at waist. 4) Waistcoat: white cotton pique lined with white cotton. High 'V' neck, mother-of-pearl buttons at front, points at each side of CF. Slit pockets at each side. Back white cotton. Belt from side seam fastening with gold covered buckle at waist, marked 'J.MAITLAND'.
