Summary

Black horsehair braid. Lined with black plain weave silk. Alternate horsehair and black chip plait round lower edge. Circular brim wired at edge, faced with double row of black silk net. Brim almost covered by section of swathed net trimmed with thick line of white fabric flowers and leaves, with bunch of white and blue flowers falling over crown at front left. Small stiffened flap at inside top left, trimmed with net bow attached to inside brim. Base of crown wired and faced with velvet.
