White even weave linen. Head-fitting crown. Brim narrowing to centre back, self-faced, interlined with buckram and entirely worked with parallel rows of topstitching. White corded silk ribbon twisted round base of crown, tied in knot at centre back, ends falling loose, flat compound bow of same ribbon on underside of front left brim. Inside headband of stiff corded silk.
