Summary

Cream silk crepe and velvet. Broad domed crown of crepe over thick wool interlining over stiff base of woven chip. Circular brim narrow at right side broad at left, of chip covered crepe on upper edge, velvet on lower edge. Silk lining with drawstring at crown. Band of pleated watered silk round base of crown, remnant of rosette at right side. Large bow of watered silk at left side underneath brim. White ostrich feather trimming from base of crown all removed, 1 separate feather remains.
