White cotton; wide low neck, bodice front in one section cut on cross each sdie of centre fastening with five linen buttons, converging dart each side, pointed waist; back in one section, extra back shoulder sections of double material; short straight sleeves cut on cross; piping round armholes neck and waist; skirt in four widths joined edge to edge, lose-gauging skirt in four widths joined edge to edge, close-gauging at waist all round; looped buttonhole edging round neck sleeves and hem ; marked with red thread at back of neck.
