White cotton; bodice with earlier type of falling front; wide low neck with narrow shoulder sections; front of bodice in four shaped sections with seams converging towards centre of pointed waistline, attached to front skirt; side front sections and back in three shaped sections attached to waistband fastening at CF; front bodice fastening with buttons at base of shoulder sections and ties round waist; short sleeves cut on cross, slightly gathered on shoulder; skirt in four widths, opening each side of front, pocket slit in right side seam, gathered to waist, two tucks above hem.
