Shell pink silk crepe de chine, figured with flower sprigs, trimmed with drawn fabric work and hand-embroidered flowers in darker pink silk. Bias cut; front in two sections below scoop neck, with diagonal seam from upper left to lower right side seam; horizontal bust dart to each side seam; back in two sections below low, straight neck, with diagonal seam from upper right to lower left side seam; side seams; cut away from armholes trimmed with scalloped lines of embroidery, front bodice trimmed with lines drawn fabric work forming check pattern, edged chrysanthemum type flower embroidered in silk. see NIGHTDRESS 1977.126.
