Summary
Cream twilled silk, with sewn-on borders of woven patterns. 2 adjacent borders with woven pattern in green, red and orange. 2 remaining borders sewn on reverse side, 1 with pattern in green, red, orange, blue and purple, the second with the same pattern from which a central section has been cut. Fringe of cream silk threads. Turnover 'architechtural' shawl. Probably from Norwich.
