Summary
Brown chiffon velvet day/afternoon dress, the velvet pile woven in floer shapes, the fabric printed with beige sprigs. Beige georgette trim with beading. Mid-calf length tunic dress with side placket fastening with poppers; long sleeved; deep V neckline filled in with beige georgette, beaded in chevron shaped rows. Shoulder darts to shape bust; bodice back has three darts at nape of neck to shape. Long full sleeves, shaped to elbow, with beaded georgette cuffs fastening with domed buttons covered in georgette. Forearm slashed with scalloped edging secured by velvet covered buttons; skirt has a floating front panel which fastens at centre back waist with a buttoning half-belt; front skirt panel has geometric cut, and extends upwards in the centre to the point of the V neckline; there are three scallops each side of this centre panel just above waist. The edges of overskirt panel are cut in stepped shape and edged with scallops; skirt back panel also has geometrically cut centre piece.
