Summary
2.2cm wide split improved 4-end straw plait in natural and darker brown.. Lined plain weave silk and cream twilled cotton; boater shape sewn spirally from centre with 5.7 cm sides and 7cm flat brim with serrrated edge; lining in two sections, silk sides and cotton base printed 'J Smith & Son Chester' with coat of arms. Brim badly chipped.
