Summary

Half length portrait of a young man. He has centrally parted hair, and very long sideburns. He wears white shirt with a collar over a black silk cravat, which is pinned with a brooch in the from of a horseshoe. Over this is worn a white waistcoat, and on top of this a dark waistcoat. Over this he wears two overcoats, the upper most having the broad lapels covered with dark silk. He wears leather gloves, and rests his left arm on the tassled back of a chair.
