Summary

Ice blue ribbed rayon (faille) sleeveless cocktail dress; princess line with centre front seam and long vertical bust darts; square plain neck and squared arm holes; tunic style overskirt with separate underpanel below attached at waist; long centre back zip; woven label, 'Heim, Jeunes Filles, Paris'. Jacques Heim opened his own couture house in Paris in 1930 and in 1936 established his 'Jeunes Filles' label. These collections produced specifically designed clothing for a 'teenage' audience long before other designers and looking forward to the 1960s.
