German Landscape
Summary
A German landscape scene of gently rolling hills, densely packed on top of each other to raise the horizon of the painting very high. The colouring of the image indicates the influence of the German painters of the early twentieth century: bright blocks of primary colours. Tall bare tree trunks frame the foreground to the left and right. The hazy patches of colour suggest sun;ight.
