Summary
Jug in the form of a human torso, cylindrical body tapering slightly upwards towards flat shoulder and straight narrow neck, with two applied loop handles representing arms and hands (cup or cover in form of head missing). Buff earthenware body showing yellow through lead glaze, decorated with slip-trailed patterns in dark red and white, showing dark brown and yellow. Back of body decorated with dark red vertical stripes spotted with white, front decorated with red and white scrolling plants, butterfly motif, cross and groups of spots, arms and hands picked out in dark red spotted with white.
