Still Life with Lamp

Summary
A still life work comprising of a gas lamp to the right, and a fruit bowl central to the image containing apples and bananas resting on a dark pink draped fabric. To the left of the image the fabric cascades down to the left of the table top. There are a total of three fabrics mimicking this draping movement, one in hunters green behind the bowl and one in pale, white lace in front of the bowl. The painting shows an early cubist influence, with unusual perspective depicted (especially with regards to the table which appears to be sloping dramatically towards the viewer.) The objects are also painted in a style showing deliberate brush work and stark contrasts, again reminiscent of cubism.
