Fullness gathered into back, shaped high collar with two pearl buttons and buttonholes, double thickness on shoulders with small gusset in single thickness at neck, pleated front inset, with opening to base of inset and four small pearl buttons with vertical buttonholes, sleeves full, gathered into shoulder and cuff and pressed into deep pleats, wide cuffs fastening with one pearl button and buttonhole, gusset under arm, overcast side seams ending in small gusset and opening 18.1cm at base with selvedge each side, inscribed over gusset - John Litt 1836.
