Summary
Purple wool cloth breeches: back shaped for braces,black metal button on point each side of centre stamped "H.J. NICOLL 10 MOSLEY ST";centre front fastening with three metal buttons,with two for braces each side;slit pocket;slit pocket fawn twilled cotton,each side of front;front flap extending whole width of front and fastening with four buttons at upper edge;seamed centre back and front, and at inner and outer leg;knee fastening with three buttons(missing); knee,knee opening and kneeband lined white glazed linen. H J Nicoll had a branch at Mosley St in Manchester from 1864 onwards.
