Coat; lined dark blue alpaca; sleeves lined white cotton satin with narrow blue stripes; double-breasted; fronts each in one section with dart from under arm to hip, 2 buttons and buttonholes each side, button inside left front; v-neck with turn-down collar and revers, each with buttonhole; slit pocket, above waist on left, black twilled cotton; slit pocket below waist each side, black twilled cotton, with flap; slightly padded shoulders; back in two sections; sleeves in two section, 3 buttons at outer wrist. Waistcoat; back dark blue alpaca; lined cotton satin; fronts each in one section, fastening with 6 buttons to v-neck; two slit pockets each side, black twilled cotton, back in two sections with belt at waist fastening at centre back with metal buckle stamped "BRITISH". Trousers; waistband lined cotton satin; waistband at front fastening with 2 inside buttons, 2 buttons each side for braces; concealed centre front fastening with 5 buttonsc two pleats at waist each side; backs contunue to waaist, point each side of centre back with button for braces; seamed at centre front, centre back, sides and inside leg; slit pocket, grey cltton, below waist at right back, fastening with button, pocket, grey cotton, in seam each side.Bought by Dr C W Cunnington in 1937.
