Summary

White linen cap in the chinoiserie style; with a stitched ground of vermicular lines in bright yellow silk. Embroidered with the main design, also in acid yellow, mainly in chain stitch in a bold design of scallop shells. Domed crown in 4 sections; wide turned up, peaked brim with meandering floral embroidery as an edging; cap is unlined. See 1952.123 for a similar cap.
