Two-piece suit in mottled orange/cream wool tweed, with matching scarf and contrasting patterned blouse: short boxy jacket, fastening to the left with 2 large circular orange buttons and 2 concealed presstuds; collarless with long sleeves; lined cream crepe figured with 'Frederick Starke'; large woven label, inner side: 'Frederick Starke, London'; matching a-line skirt, also lined; matching fringed scarf; blouse of psychedelic printed nylon jersey. Frederick Starke had his salon on Bruton Street after 1945, continuing until the late 1960s.
