Summary

Public: Covered hot water jug of globular shape with tall neck and scrolling handle, red earthenware, coated with deep metallic copper lustre with blue bands to neck and cover. Private: Globular jug on spreading foot, with tall, slightly flared neck, relief-moulded beaded borders at base and beneath rim. Projecting leaf-moulded lip applied to side of neck over pierced strainer holes, scrolling relief-moulded handle with spurs at thumbrest, terminals and above lower terminal. Coarse red earthenware with bright blue slip band around neck, body coated in deep orange copper lustre reserving blue band embellished with painted copper lustre flowers. Interior coated with white slip, copper lustre coat to neck. Shallow domed cover with flattened rim and relief-moulded beaded border, central finial missing. Copper lustre coat, reserving bright blue band embellished with copper lustre sprigs.
