Summary

Circular dinner plate with broad shallow well, sloping rim and circular footring. Relief-moulded decoration to well, of circular panel containing basketweave ground and scrollwork within ribbon twist border, encircled by border of alternating trellis and cagework grounds and scrollwork. Six groups of high relief fruits on leafy twigs suspended from ribbon twist border around edge of well, fruits including apples, pears, walnuts and melons. Border to rim of simple trellis basketwork, giving scalloped edge. Heavy body, of plain deep cream colour with finely crazed yellow glaze pooling in crevices.
