Thomas Brideoak's plush wedding hat when he married Jane Knott in 1855. Thomas was a Manchester surgeon they eventually purchased a large house (Ellerslie) in Cheadle Hulme.Jane's mother, Mary Rothwell was the donor's great great grandmother.
