Summary

Public: Bowl, hard paste porcelain, tea party and horse riding scenes within cartouches on outside, river bank scene on inside, iron red, purple, green, yellow, brown and blackenamel colours with gilt and scrollwork borders. Private: Hard paste porcelain, circular with everted rim curving into narrow footring. Painted in iron red, purple, green, yellow, brown and black enamel colours with, on the exterior, two scenes; one of the tea party and one of horse-riders outside a town beside a river. Both scenes set in cartouches painted in gilt with scale and diaper patterns. Inside the bowl a further scene of a couple seated near a town on the banks of a river. Around the inner rim, a gilt diaper and scrollwork border.
