Summary
Public: Dinner plate, cream coloured earthenware, with relief-moulded six-lobed rim, decorated with swirled and mottled brown and green underglaze oxides bleeding into lead glaze. Private: Circular dessert plate with broad deep well and sloped undulating 6-lobed rim with reeded border. Creamware body sponged with manganese brown oxide bleeding into rich lead-glaze, resulting in mottled dark brown and cream pattern, sponged marks remaining clearly defined, embellished with six green patches in well and seven on rim. Even mottled brown decoration to underside.
